With over a decade of experience, I support those navigating trauma, anxiety, and mental health difficulties through the transformative power of play.
I specialise in Integrative Child-Centred Play Therapy. By following the child’s lead, I build a foundation of safety and resilience through various play mediums.
My practice is grounded in:
- Attachment-Focused Care: Utilising TraumaPlay, DDP (Level 1), and Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP).
- Neuro-Affirming Practice: As an Autplay Practitioner and a neurodivergent parent of an autistic young person, I provide lived-experience and specialised support for Autistic, ADHD, and PDA profiles.
- Trauma-informed: Trained in Child-Accelerated Trauma Technique, TraumaPlay and Level 1 DDP, I have extensive knowledge, understanding and experience working with young people with single incident and complex PTSD, including adopted young people, those under Special Guardianship, and children in Local Authority care.
My Therapy Space
I moved into my own space on Dartington Hall estate in 2025 following 10 years delivering therapy in schools. This has enabled me to create a nurturing space and safe container separate from the expectations, pressures and challenges of the outside world. Having my own space enables me to offer a range of play and creative mediums, including access to the beautiful estate grounds.
I am also able to collect children and young people from schools located on the estate.
Online
Recognising a need for young people too anxious or otherwise unable to attend in-person therapy, I trained in Using Minecraft as a Therapeutic Tool to enable me to safely deliver Play Therapy online.
I also offer online consultations, webinars and support groups.
Funding Options
I am an approved provider for Alternative Education Provision for Devon County Council, which means sessions can be funded through an Education, Health and Care Plan.
I am also an approved provider for Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund, which offers £3000 of funding for children who are adopted or under special guardianship orders. You can learn more about ASGSF here
Costs and Accessibility
I charge the lowest rate I can without risking the quality of my services. Delivering therapy for children and young people comes with huge overheads and training requirements, which can be difficult to balance with my wish to be accessible to all families who need therapy services.
I offer lower rates for:
- Young people aged 13+ who are self-funding
- low-income families, who are not able to access therapy services through the NHS or EHCP
- for parents/carers who require evidence of engagement/impact with therapy to have it added as provision on their EHCP.
